So interesting story behind this card. I put together the layout for a different card. Decided I hated the colors for the feel I was going for on that particular project but I did like the colors together so I saved it for another card and this is the one I made!
I love this stamp set from Gina K Designs. I even stamped this off center a little bit and it still looks awesome!
I’m a little late with this one and it’s not my favorite card but I still thought I’d share it.
But first the sketch.
and now the card!
I just realized that sometime between when I finished the card and took the picture one of the little blings in the corner fell off. I swear there used to be 3. I also am missing a picture… I had a picture of the card and envelope together…. I edited it and not I can’t find it…. But I have other pictures of the envelope I’ll show you in a little bit.
But first the inside of the card.
And the back.
And finally the envelope. First the front.
And the back of the envelope.
Melonheadz is one of my favorite sponsors! I hope you’ll come play along with us at Crafting When We Can!
I find that I almost always make really cutesy birthday cards. I love the more mature style this card ended up with.
I love the soft colors I used on this flowery card.I picked up the Gina K Designs set buds and vases because I realized just how well it would work with the fill it with flowers set!
I also had a lot of fun playing with the Allison’s Ribbons Die ! I can’t believe I’ve had this die set for almost 2 months and only used it once before this! It’s so much fun!
I’ve also been working on some hand lettering stuff with my friend Emily and found a fun way to incorporate into my cards by trying different fonts when I sign the back of my cards!
And of course the envelope. 🙂
I feel like I’m finally winding down from the end of summer crazies. I’ve had my last “staycation” My summer theatre projects are done, I’m settled into my new job, I’ve moved blogs. It’s been a long summer and I’ve packed a lot into it! I’m not going to promise updates every day becuase I never seam to follow through. So for now I’m only going to say more regular posts. I’ve also gotten a lot pickier about what cards I share with you. I only share the cards I at least like and are worthy of sharing but I hope that helps to improve the cards you see!
So I made this thank you card and thought I’d share it to say thank you to all my lovely blog followers.
Today’s video is the last of the Scan N Cut Videos! I have to say I’ve had so much fun making these videos for you! And I’ve learned so many new things about my machine in the process! I hope you’ve learned something as well! Enjoy this last video!
My dad is sick… Just a cold but I thought I could make him a cute card and leave it for him to find some upcoming morning… Well he basically watched me make the whole thing… So I don’t think he’ll be getting this one.
I know I always tend to see flowers for get well cards but for some reason I always assoicate teddy bears with get well cards!
I think this turned out so cute!
